ABout La Taza
A Dream for
Our Community
Since almost the beginning, La Taza Community Coffeehouse has been an important part of the vision for DCLE. It’s a perfect space in our community where people can come together to connect and to see each other and to be seen.
The purpose of La Taza dovetails perfectly into the larger restorative vision of the Dream Center by creating a bright and inviting space for people to experience rich connection over great coffee while fostering the growth and development of our community.
Honors, promotes, and brings together the Latino & Anglo majority populations of downtown Lake Elsinore
Creates a safe and welcoming space for our community to connect
Creates a funding source for deeply impactful community outreaches that restore Lake Elsinore
Beautifies & uplifts a historic property in our city
Giving Back to Your Community
A nonprofit coffee house is different because of the mission: building community. There are deeper roots and values that allow both the employees and customers to be a part of an incredible mission. Together we are doing something of great value for our community.
The whole of La Taza Community Coffeehouse has been funded by generous founding partners. Now, as we serve our community coffee, all funds raised through the operation of La Taza will be poured right back into the restoration of Lake Elsinore through the many outreach programs of the Dream Center. This is an incredible way you can support your community simply by enjoying a cup of coffee!
About the Dream Center Lake Elsinore
The Dream Center is a volunteer-driven organization that finds and fills the needs of individuals and families in our community. We do this by connecting isolated people to God and a community of support through regular service projects & neighborhood events, promoting freedom from life-controlling issues, offering practical life skills training, and fostering deep spiritual growth.
We work to meet people where they are at, to bring them hope and a way off the streets, out of poverty, and into self-sufficiency.
